The first Soggy Doggy mats I had were fine, they did not have the same non-slip backing as the newer ones, and I could wash them...
However, the new non-slip backing is not washable at all. Despite washing on the delicate cycle, mine still fell apart. I have multiple dogs, so washing regularly is a must. These are NOT washable if you want them to last for any time.
I wrote to Soggy Doggy 3 months after I first purchased this mat, and sent photos because the backing started to fall apart after 2 washes. They didn't respond. This is what my mat looks like now, after less than a year of use. I don't want the backing going into our sewage system, so it's essentially not usable.
I purchased my 1st Soggy Doggy rug (in extra large) over 10 yrs ago. It has been a real workhorse of a rug all these years. With 2 large labradoodles and moving from wet climates to warm climates to bone-chilling climates, the Soggy Doggy has held up through it all. It washes and air dries like a dream and always comes out looking like new. I'm back for my 2nd Soggy Doggy rug in Navy (an extra large, of course). I have what I think is called, Carmel, but it's more of a terracotta color. Just washed it and air dried it (after machine washing I hang it over the deck railing and in my current dry climate, its dry within a couple hours). Love these rugs!
Great quality, dogs love to lay on them
We bought a doormat sized rug and it worked so well we got a larger rug for the main entry. It has seriously reduced the wetness and dirt from being tracked in the house.
This is our 2nd soggy doggy mat. Our dog LOVES it.
